Why Amish Basics?
We're not an Amish company, and our products aren't made by the Amish.
The Amish Basics name began with a traditional Amish soap recipe and the simple, practical approach behind it: use good ingredients, add only what is needed, and make things to work.
That philosophy stuck.
As Amish Basics grew beyond soap, the same thinking became the foundation for everything we make. Simple formulas. Purposeful ingredients. Nothing unnecessary.
It's not about doing things the old-fashioned way just for the sake of tradition. It's about knowing when simpler is better.
It Starts With the Source
Every product we make begins with mineral clay.
Our Calcium Bentonite Clay comes from deposits in California's Mojave Desert, mined and refined by our own operation before it ever reaches an Amish Basics formula.
We don't buy our minerals from a broker or middleman. We own the source.
That means we know where our clay comes from, how it is processed, and what goes into every batch.
That control is the whole point. It allows us to keep our ingredient lists short, our formulas clean, and our standards high.
No fillers. No unnecessary additives. No fragrance where fragrance isn't needed.
