The Amish Basics name began with the traditional Amish soap recipe that inspired our original bar soap and the simple philosophy behind it: use good ingredients, add only what is needed, and make products that work.
We are not an Amish-owned company, and our products are not made by the Amish. The name reflects the straightforward, back-to-basics approach that continues to guide everything we make today.
Yes. Every Amish Basics product is made with clean, natural ingredients. We do not use synthetic fragrances, sulfates, parabens, or artificial fillers of any kind.
Our clays are sourced from mineral-rich deposits in California's Deserts. All other ingredients are carefully selected for purity and quality.
Yes. All Amish Basics products are vegan and contain no animal-derived ingredients.
Yes. We do not test on animals at any stage of production.
Yes. Every product is handcrafted in the United States using traditional methods.
No. Any scent comes exclusively from natural essential oils.
Our formulas are intentionally simple, but every person's skin is different. We recommend patch testing before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Our products use gentle, natural ingredients suitable for most ages. We recommend doing a small patch test first, especially for young children.
If you have eczema or another diagnosed skin condition, check the ingredient list and speak with your dermatologist before introducing a new skincare product.
Contact us at info@amishbasics.com within 7 days of receiving your order and include a photo of the damage. We will send a replacement at no charge.
Apply a small amount of product to the inside of your wrist or elbow, leave it for 24 hours, and check for any reaction.If no reaction occurs, you can proceed cautiously with normal use. Patch testing cannot guarantee that irritation will never occur.
Our products use natural ingredients, but we always recommend checking with your doctor before introducing any new skincare product during pregnancy.
